About
My career to date has been in Travel Management I started my travel career with Thomas Cook in 1986 and have worked with various international Travel Management companies with a career span of 30years. Most of this time I have managed large groups of people in a operation capacity looking after major companies travel category.
Some of the companies I have had the pleasure working for are Visa, Goldman Sachs, Wellcome Foundation, MTV, ING bank, Bank of Tokyo, Glaxo
A couple of years ago I took time out to care for my terminally ill mother and after she passed away I took on the role of carer for my father. Whilst doing this I wanted to try something different and a friend of mine suggested I look in to training to become a Celebrant, after finding out what they did I decided to do the training and qualify as a funeral Celebrant. I found this a turning point in my life I thoroughly enjoyed the training and because of my past skills working with people this transition was very natural, the ability to become involved with a family in what could be the most difficult time of their life saying good bye to a loved one to offer support, comfort and also to take over some of the responsibility in arranging a funeral is a true gift a blessing.
I will also be training in the near future to become a wedding Celebrant. As well as offering ceremonies for pets burials which have become extremely popular as we are a nation of dog and cat lovers!
I can conduct baby naming ceremonies for those couples that do not wish to have a conventional christening or baptism.
